With its premier party January 15 2000, Bang kicked off the millennium to a sold out opening night and continued to pave the way in nightlife in the US. Bang ushered audiences into the indie rock wave of the early 00s and brought bands like The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, Bloc Party, and The White Stripes onto the dancefloor. Throughout the years Bang hosted special guest DJs including members of the Smiths, Interpol, Joy Division, Ladytron and more. With the invasion of Nu-Rave, Emo and Electropop waves, Bang continued to introduce artists to the masses while paying homage to the classics all the way until 2011 when the iconic 3 room Hollywood Blvd venue the Ruby closed its doors.
